The Free State Project works by encouraging people to move to New Hampshire to build a society where the maximum role of government is the protection of life, liberty, and property. Picking up and moving a person or a family is a serious endeavor for some people, even if the goal is as lofty and achievable as the Free State Project.

To that end, Free State Now! was created to provide a place where the Project will reach its goal of 20,000 signers as soon as possible.

You can earn money by telling people about the Free State Project and encouraging them to sign up. Here's how the program works:

What is the Free State Project?

If you don’t already know the answer to this question, please go to http://freestateproject.org and get educated on the subject and sign-up if it is right for you. This campaign is for signers of the FSP’s Statement of Intent.

What is FreeStateNow.com?

Freestatenow.com is the website of the Free State Project Completion Campaign, a collaborative effort by several activists to reach the FSP’s 20,000 signer goal as quickly as possible. We are all FSP signers, but Free State Now and the Free State Project Completion Campaign are in no other way affiliated with the Free State Project. The newest of our efforts is an open-source outreach program intended to compensate people passionate about the Free State Project for getting their friends, families, neighbors or anyone who doesn’t live in New Hampshire to sign the Statement of Intent.

What is the proposal?

If you are interested in helping and earning money, here's the process:

1. Download the Free State Project’s A New Strategy for Freedom tri-fold. This tri-fold is one of two ways that one can sign-up for the FSP and the way that we will be using for the 2.1 campaign.
2. As you tell people about the Free State Project, they will surely tell you that they want to join us in New Hampshire. At this point, have the signer fill-in as much of the tri-fold as they are willing. Realize that some people are very concerned about privacy, and may not want to reveal too much. The minimum allowable information is: their name, signature, state, and either email address, mailing address (zip code mandatory), or phone number.
3. When you want to receive sweet cash for your efforts, take your completed tri-folds and send them to:

   Be sure to include a physical contact address.

When we receive your completed forms, we will enter each into the system as a signer, tossing the ones that look fraudulent or are from people who live in NH. You will be paid $10 for each approved tri-fold sent in the form of a check to the name and address that you include in the package. The processing could take a couple of weeks, but rest assured, I will send you a check for every signer that we deem acceptable for entering into the system.

We had a Free State Now collaborator go to Boston Common with a bunch of these and he got 4 signers an hour. You can too. At $10 per tri-fold, that is $40 an hour, and we don’t take out taxes. Viola! A new job for you!

We have plenty of money in the bank right now. So, I expect to be able to pay on all tri-folds that are turned in and then use the big jump in signers as a fund raising tool. Lots of people want to see that counter turn and are willing to donate. Free State Now has made the counter turn several hundreds of times and we are receiving funds as a result.

A little advice: bring several pens and a couple of clipboards. People with clipboards look official and you may have a chance to get more than one signer at once. Make sure they write legibly, or do it for them. We have tossed many tri-folds as a result of poor penmanship.
